Florence business to collect donations for Nebraska flood victims

FLORENCE, SC (TERESAREPORTS) – A Florence business will collect donations for flood victims in Nebraska on Friday.

Dave Hemmingsen, owner of Water’s Edge Custom Coolers and Tumblers, told TeresaReports it’s important to help others in a time of need.

“During Hurricane Florence, South Carolina endured some of the worst flooding in our state‚Äôs history,” he said. “People from across our great nation reached out and helped us by donating items to assist in our recovery.”

Hemmingsen said Nebraska and Iowa are dealing with similar issues that South Carolina faced when both Hurricanes Matthew and Florence hit the area.

“South Carolina understands because we have been in those same shoes,” said Hemmingsen. “I talked with my friends in Wood River, Nebraska and they desperately need our help.”

Donations can be dropped off at Water’s Edge 179 S. Cashua Drive in Florence.

“We will have the ROOSTER CRUSIER tailgate vehicle out by the road with the lights flashing so you will know where to drop off your donations,” he said.
