DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (TERESAREPORTS) – Investigators with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office arrested one person following a search warrant on Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office seized drugs and money at the home, according to officials.
Sheriff Tony Chavis and investigators with the Drug Enforcement Unit served the warrant in the Dovesville community around five p.m.
“Narcotics Investigators worked diligently to secure a search warrant for this residence on Cedar Ridge Rd.,” said Sheriff Chavis. “Investigators located and seized methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana and cash.”
Michael Rakeem Smith, 27, was arrested.
Investigators seized approximately:
- 7.5 grams of methamphetamine
- 59 grams of cocaine
- 4.5 grams of crack cocaine
- 84 grams of marijuana
- $2,300 cash
Investigators will seek charges of trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
Smith is being held at the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center, according to officials.
